DVD UPDATE from James Todd of Abandoned Souls!!!!
We were in the home stretch finishing up all the post production for our live DVD. Unfortunately we had a major incident involving a hard drive that contained all of the audio for this DVD. Bottom line, the hard drive was badly damaged from getting knocked over accidentally and all of the audio for this DVD was lost! We sent it to Toronto to a special data recovery company and they were unable to retrieve anything from the drive due to the damage of the disc itself. We were so bummed out about the situation and we racked our brains trying to think how we could salvage this DVD. We only have audio from the camcorders themselves. We wanted to release a top quality DVD with great sound and video. As many of you know, camcorders don't really record great audio of bands live.....so we would not feel good about using that as the only source of audio. We may post some web clips from this show in the future using the camera audio but as far as the DVD, we would not want our fans to pay for a sub par product.
We will definitely be filming again for another DVD in the future. This time everything will be backed up 3 times on separate drives!! SO...the show at Norma Jean's on June 25 is now going to be a DVD R.I.P. PARTY.
Time to look towards the future...and believe me folks....you will be very surprised at what you will hear! Cheers and see you at the show.

Hey everyone!! It's been a while and we are very sorry for the lack of updates. That doesn't mean that we haven't been busy...because we've been very hard at work with new music and the live DVD. Look for live shows to be announced very soon!!
We are also VERY PROUD to announce that we are now working with GODIY RECORDS out of Califormia. We will be featured on a compilation CD that they will be releasing and promoting to many various sources in the music biz. Look for that to happen early this summer.

Hamilton rocked!!! Thanks to The Corktown, SFD and Tammy for setting us up with this show and West Memphis Suicide and Hand Over Fist for rockin with us too. We can't wait to get back to Hamilton for another show!
Currently Abandoned Souls is working on new material for the next CD which we will begin recording at the beggining of the new year and then release as soon as we can after that.
We will still be playing select shows here and there while we are working on the new CD. The new stuff is shaping up to be some of the best we've done yet. Can't wait for you all to hear it. Stay tuned.

What a GREAT night at Norma Jean's last Thursday night!! Thanks to Breaching Vista and West Memphis Suicide for rocking with us. Thanks to Jonathan and all the staff at Norma's....you guys are the best! Can't wait to do it all again.
Abandoned Souls has a few weeks off to re group so to speak....lol. Next show is May 16 at The Legendary Red Rooster in Burlington. Definitely can't wait for that one!! Stay tuned for more updates and a very big announcement coming sometime over the next few weeks. Cheers all.....

Lots of shows are booked and being scheduled for the coming months. We are also one of 3 bands touring with the "Three Faces of Indie Tour" which will be sceduling dates all over Ontario during the spring and summer months. Check the shows page for all the current dates. The new year is off to a great start for ABANDONED SOULS and is only going to get better!! Hope to see you at a show sometime this year.

We finally have songs from the new album on our website music player. There is one track available, "You Forgot" that is not on our myspace page. Also the flash picture rotater at the bottom of this page has been updated with new pics. We still need to update the links page as well as the picture page. Hopefully that will be done soon after the holidays. On that note.....we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! All the best in 2009 and we hope to rock with you very soon!!
